We are delighted to be hosting the ISPAH 2024 Congress in Paris, in collaboration with the French Society of Public Health and co-sponsored by the World Health Organization. The Congress will take place from 28 to 31 October 2024 at the Palais des Congrès. The overarching theme of the event is “Accelerating policy and practice to ensure physical activity for all”.
The 10th ISPAH Congress aims to engage researchers, practitioners, and decision-makers to explore innovative ways to tackle the continuing inequalities in access and participation. The Congress aims to ensure all partners, across all parts of the system, are clear on their role and how we can work together globally, nationally, and locally, to achieve sustainable changes in structures, environments, and opportunities to support physical activity for all.
As always, we are planning an ambitious programme, including keynote sessions on some of the most important issues on the physical activity agenda including: the potential to leverage sports mega-events to promote population health; the impact of digital developments on physical activity surveillance; how to better evidence the economic impact of investment into physical activity; and the translation of national policy into local action. We are also planning a range of activities around the scientific programme, including the ISPAH Party, which will take place at the Musée des Arts Forains (Fairground Museum). Originally opening to the public in 1996, the museum contains a variety of artefacts and rides, including merry-go-rounds and carousels to name a few!
