Scientific Programme

The scientific programme of ISPAH 2024 will consist of keynotes, symposia, workshops, oral presentations and e-poster presentations. See our programme at a glance for an overview of the programme.

To allow as many people to present and attend as possible, the number of submissions by a presenting (first) author will be limited to a maximum of two (2) submissions. Priority may be given to your first submission to ensure a diversity of presenters at the Congress. Please note, this is for presenting first authors only; there is no limit to the number of abstracts one can be an author on.

The number of oral presentations will be limited and will be assigned on a competitive basis as judged by the Scientific Committee. Accepted abstracts that are not accepted as Oral presentations may be assigned to an E-poster session. Additionally, presentations submitted as part of a symposium not selected may also be considered for Oral and E-poster presentation, unless otherwise requested.

The Oral Presentation will follow a traditional format for oral presentations with presenters being afforded 7 min of time to present their findings with an additional 3 min to answer questions. The time limit for each presentation and related questions and answers will be strictly observed.

Highlighted Presentations: The Congress will highlight noteworthy presentations by junior and mid-career scientists (up to 5 years post PhD defence). These presentations will be highlighted in the conference program. If you would like to be considered for a highlighted presentation, please select the appropriate button at the time of abstract submission.

We will not have printed posters at ISPAH 2024, but instead use E-posters. E-posters will be made available on the congress website as well on screens during the E-poster sessions during the congress. The E-posters will be grouped by themes and moderated discussion sessions will be organized so that all poster submitters will be able to present their poster to a (small) audience.

To be able to create the most interesting scientific program, with breakout sessions with closely related oral presentations, as well as assist the review process, we ask submitters, for each submission, to select the relevant options from the following categories.
